Applications for the participation in the free-of-charge mass measurements are still open.
If you want to know the aspects of healthy ageing, how healthy you are and what can you can for a healthy and independent old age, we invite you to participate in the free mass measurements.
Participants will get direct information about their general health and psychophysical condition right after the measurements.
Participants of the measurements should meet the following requirements:
Measurements will take place in the first half of March 2016 in Ljubljana. A mobile laboratory will be used for this purpose. Measurements will include tests of physical characteristics, physical status (muscular power, strength and balance, analysis of walking and flexibility), dietary picture, the state of mental abilities and lifestyle characteristics.

]]>The project was presented by the promotor of the project – The Home Care institute as well as by representatives of the partners and external collaborators. They introduced occupational therapy, practical use of occupational therapy equipment, solutions for adapting homes to increase safety and independence of elderly people, physiotherapy and movement exercises, measurements of the psychophysical status of the elderly; a lecture on healthy eating and food preparation was also given. The event was enriched by the Medis KUD Svoboda choir, which performed with three songs. After the presentation refreshments were served, participants also received a promotional gift.

]]>The event was organized by the University of Primorska, Science and Research Centre and Izola General Hospital. At the event numerous experts gave lectures on the topic of healthy ageing. During the lectures UP SRC Institute for kinesiology research carried out free measurements with a mobile laboratory. Quality ageing in the home environment was discussed at the press conference, where Lilijana Batič, director of the Home Care institute presented the A- Qu –A project.
